Call for Grant Applications: N+P in East Sussex Fund

1 min read - published on April 15, 2024

We are pleased to announce that N+P Crayford MRF Ltd and East Sussex County Council are jointly calling for grant applications for the N+P in East Sussex Fund. This fund has over £15,000 available to donate to community projects in the region.

We encourage local community groups to submit grant applications for projects that have a positive impact on our environment. Projects may relate to environmental sustainability, community involvement, local needs, value for money, and education. It's important to note that projects must be carried out within the administrative area of the East Sussex County Council.

Up to £5,000 in funding per application will be considered. Successful applications will demonstrate a clear local need, community participation and benefit, promotion of social inclusion, and a wide range of engagement. Additionally, they should provide significant benefits for the area, such as creating employment, providing training, and developing skills.

Over the past two years, we have already awarded nearly £60,000 to 22 valuable projects. These projects have ranged from improving biodiversity in school grounds to installing a 'happy to chat' bench for a local church.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 28, 2024. Applications will be reviewed by the N+P in East Sussex Board in July, with representatives from N+P and the East Sussex County Council. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in early August.

Please note that funding will not be provided for staff costs, maintenance and operational costs, projects where a statutory duty applies, individuals seeking sponsorship for charity events, or the construction of new buildings.
