N+P Announces strategic partnership with Vital Energi as exclusive Refuse Derived Fuel supplier to Port Clarence Energy-from-Waste facility
Teesside, November 24, 2025 — N+P is pleased to announce a strategic, long-term partnership with Vital Energi, a leading provider of energy infrastructure solutions in the UK. N+P has signed a 10-year feedstock contract to be the exclusive waste fuel supplier to Vital Energi’s Energy-from-Waste facility in Port Clarence. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in N+P’s UK growth strategy and increases the companies North-East regional waste treatment infrastructure capacity to 670,000 tonnes per annum.
The Energy from Waste facility will process up to 320,000 tonnes of residual waste per annum with fuel sourced from N+P’s Hartlepool facility and strategic supply chain partners. With the construction over 90% complete, the facility is expected to be completed within 18 months. First waste is anticipated in Q4 2026 and to be fully operational at capacity by Q1 2027. This residual waste infrastructure will significantly reduce waste to landfill and waste exports from the region.
“This partnership underpins our commitment to provide residual waste treatment for low carbon fuels in the region,” “It complements our existing waste assets in Hartlepool and Teesside, enabling N+P to provide the market with a unique offering and associated treatment capacities in the production of low-carbon fuels and high-quality Solid Recovery Fuels.” Jon Wylie, Commercial Director UK N+P
