About the job
As the Operations Supervisor you will safely operate the production plant through implementing the relevant controls and procedure to safeguard colleagues, equipment and uphold / enhance our quality of the product manufactured.
The most important tasks, activities and responsibilities are:
- Responsible for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those directly responsible to you, your work colleagues and any others who may be affected by the operations under your responsibility or control. You must ensure that at all times the correct PPE is worn. Please refer to the Health and Safety Policy for further details on your specific responsibilities.
- Safe operating of the Subcoal TSP production plant via the Scada system and CCTV monitoring.
- Monitoring and keeping record of relevant shift ‘down times’ in the production log with detail including justification.
- Document and provide details for the oncoming shift of any health & safety, plant performance and quality related issues.
- Responsible for identifying and safely implementing preventative actions to maximize plant availability.
- Ensure clear and relevant communication is provided to the shift team to support safe working practices and plant availability.
- Stand in for the shift supervisor and undertake associated duties in their absence.

- Basic plant knowledge of associated fixed plant / systems
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work with autonomy and proactively manage the changeable requirement form the production line
- Can escalate and engage key colleagues to resolve production and quality Issues
- Ability to effectively engage and lead the shift team in the absence of the shift supervisor
